I really like the example you used of those who are post-modernists. I have had some run ins with people who think just the way you described, they make the Bible fit their theology and their outlook. God has continued to remind me of the passage in Corinthians where he is saying that the Gospel really is foolishness to those who are not believers. To them the Bible is good, but is not truth. So I thought what you said was great.
